Public Health

The role of the Public Health office for Montgomery county is to enforce the standards from Minimum Standards for Jails in Ohio and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. The Montgomery County Jail uses an outside healthcare contractor called NaphCare, Inc. that  provides dental, medical and psychiatric care for incarcerated inmates on a 24-hour per day basis. The criteria for these services are set by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, American Correctional Association and the Minimum Standards for Jails in Ohio. Naphcare provides mental health and medical services through a physician, a psychiatrist, a dentist, nurses and emergency medical technicians.
